I was once asked to help prototype a system for designing jockey silks for a clothing manufacturer. Each jockey has a unique combination of colours, patterns, sleeves, hats, and leggings, so we built a visual layer-based tool that allowed combinations to be assembled live and exported directly to PDF.
That particular client had never heard of FileMaker, and not even considered how they could do it, just a moment of curiosity... so they just asked... the next day it existed...

Projects like this often begin long before anyone is thinking about a finished business system. They usually start with a conversation, an operational frustration, or somebody asking, “Could this be done?” This is where rapid prototyping becomes powerful, turning rough ideas into something practical, visible, and testable very early in the journey.
